review: centurion

Blood, guts and the occasional toga. Neil Marshall, the man behind cult horror flicks Dog Soldiers and The Descent takes on the Roman Empire

review: centurion + me & orson welles

review: inception

Christopher Nolan is the man that brought us Memento, The Prestige, Batman Begins and The Dark Night and this is his most complex, epic and beautiful film yet. Inception is a masterpiece

35 movies. 1 minute

Ha, this is pretty amazing. Can you pick em all?

review: inception + greenberg

Christopher Nolan's masterpiece Inception reviewed as well as Ben Stiller's portrait of a douchebag Greenberg. Also I do my best impression of Joan Rivers on the red carpet of Ashton Kutcher's mindbogglingly-shit Killers

the social parodies

The Social Network Trailer spoofs... expect more... a lot more

(via @danilic)

And then, of course, there's the Other Social Network (MySpace)

(via VH1)

the social network

The full trailer for The Social Network (Aaaron Sorkin/David Fincher's film about Facebook) is here and the beginning of this trailer in particular is a work of pure unmitigated beauty.

The teasers are pretty fantastic too.

the runaways

Kristin Stewart and Dakota Fanning swap their Twilight fangs for guitar picks in this bio-pic about the rise and fall of all-girl band The Runaways. But is it any good?

what women want + new mel gibson dialogue

This is a thing of terrifying wonder:

knight & day + the runaways

Dakota Fanning & Kristin Stewart swap the Twilight Fangs for guitar picks in The Runaways? Can Cruise Reinvigorate his career with Knight & Day?

if jurassic park were real...

If we learned anything from the Jurassic Park movies it's this: Humans and Dinosaurs should absolutely co-habit. For they will eat all the lawyers, Newman and annoying high-pitched children.

And now - its a reality....

Its a stunt staged by the team behind Walking with Dinosaurs.

Either way - pretty fucking amazing.

wanna have coffee with Julia Gillard?

predators

Hey, whaddya know - the revamped Predators is a tight, surprising, well made action flick that relishes in macho-ness. The only way it could be more of a 'boy movie' is if it was showing arse-crack...

little obama: the movie

Oh holy god.

Obama The Mengteng Kid, a movie about Barack Obama's life as a child in Indonesia, premiered this week in Jakarta. Young Barack is played by 14-year-old Hasan Farooq Ali.

Teaser Trailer

Trailer

I didn't realise that Obama was the Karate Kid.

The director said the film was about 60 percent true and 40 percent fiction, according to an interview with Time magazine. Either way, I'm sooo in.

the social network trailer (1 and 2)

Written By Aaron Sorkin (The West Wing)

Directed By David Fincher (Fight Club)

Score By Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails)

Movie About.... Facebook???

This may well be one of the strangest movie projects to emerge in 2010

UPDATE -- NEW TRAILER

let me in trailer

The first trailer for the remake of the spectacular Swedish film Let The Right One In has surfaced. Directed by Matt Reeves, who was behind Cloverfield, or as I like to call it, The Blair Lizard Project, the remake is simply titles Let Me In. Staring massively talented young Australian actor Kodi Smit-McPhee, I must confess it looks so close to the original that it could be pretty stunning

Whaddya reckon?

the julia revolution

....And now the race is on to find the best Julia Gillard impression.
