Comes... the new Commonwealth Bank Advertisement.
So it seems. Commonwealth Bank has called in Amelie director Jean-Pierre Jeunet for its latest marketing campaign,
The campaign was created by Goodby Silverstein & Partners and launches today. According to AdNews they "aim to bring the bank’s customer service promises to life and increase the number of products its customers purchase from the bank."
You can definately sense the similarity in theme. This is the new ad..
And this is the Trailer for Amelie.
Can't help but think it would've been easier to just get a local director and say, "Hey, you've seen Amelie, right? reckon you could recreate that? only, oooh I know, do it in black and white. It worked so wonders for James Boag" instead of hiring Jeunet, but, as they say C'es La Vie.

Advertising is always ripping off specific styles and recreating them without attribution or compensation, I reckon we should commend them for going about this ethically.
