ask richard...

You might know of me from triple j, but my career started in a very real way on a station called FBi 94.5. At the age of 17, FBi basically taught me radio from the ground up. They've been responsible for training a number of new broadcasters like Linda Marigliano, Dom Alessio from triple j for starters.

FBi is a not-for-profit organisation & operates on a community radio licence. They provide an incredibly important voice in Sydney's music, arts and culture scene. Simply put Sydney, and Australian radio would be poorer without it. And they're in need of cash. But rather than hold their paws out for dosh, they've come up with a novel concept: Ask Richard Branson

As the website says: Basically it’s open slather, if you reckon you’ve got a cracking idea that will get Richard Branson’s attention and inspire him to donate the cash then go for it. Remember, Richard loves a publicity stunt. Go for something that will get his attention directly (skywriters take note) or indirectly through other media channels (enter a talent competition & blow people’s heads off with your singing while wearing a Richard Branson mask).

How would YOU get Richard Branson's attention? go to the website and find out more. Its gotta lot of chutzpah and its worth it.

star trek reviewed on triple j

Finally got round to reviewing Star Trek for triple j. I'd like it noted that unlike every other film reviewer on earth (and beyond) I have resisted as many bad Trek puns as possible. There are no 'stellar performances'. The film is not 'out of this world'. It's not "warp speed fun". The movie IS however extremely awesome. Enjoy my beaming review [zing] it's only 2 minutes, go on, you know you want to hear it:)

I really wanna know how you found the film. lemme know in the comments section.

UPDATE: Trek fans appear not be taking this movie well. See below.

hope ya enjoyed:)
And so Blockbuster season begins with X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Check out my review below, its only 2 minutes and features me doing an impression of Hugh Jackman's abs...

I sense that I may have disliked this film more than most people. That may have something to do with the fact that I sat down to watch X-Men and X2 the night before I wrote this review. Honest to God, there's more creativity in the first 2 minutes of X2 than there is in the entirety of Wolverine. Still, mine is just one opinion - and lets be honest here, i can be a bit of a douche-bag (no, its okay, I've made my peace with it:) Still, I'd genuinely love to know how you found the film. lemme know in the comments section, mmkay!
