Brian fuller is in the middle of making a comic book series that will hopefully tie up the hasty ending, and there are also talks of a movie! This is also one of my favourite shows ever, so sad that Channel 9 sucks at airing it.
Pushing Daisies is fantastic - one of my favorite quirky series, so it was great to hear you talk about today. Thanks!
Love this show and it's a pity that ABC axed it in the US. Apparently original, creative and quirky shows (i.e. all of Bryan Fuller's shows) aren't allowed to live nowadays.
I have my fingers crossed for a region 4 DVD release of season 2.
Thanks so much for reviewing this amazing show! I'm constantly reccomending it to friends (and usually bitching about Channel 9 when they all ask why they've never heard of it.)
It was one of the best shows I've seen in recent times. So unique and so well written, not to mention so visually beautiful. It deserved so much better. It's such a shame that it didn't get a better ending but even so it remains one of my favourite shows ever.
You've got to love those big group publicity photos like the one you've got posted here. It's like a diorama or something.
Anyway, I'll be sure to add this to my "TV shows I'll buy on a box-set sometime but don't rush me 'cos I've got other things to do mkay" list.
As good as Pushing Daisies was, there was an even better, briefer American show that ran for only 12 episodes - each one brilliant - called The Middleman.
The Middleman was good. The new one, Warehouse 13, is sort of a similar concept. Actually it's pretty damn similar.
