star trek reviewed

My first radio review of the brand spanking new Star Trek. Check it out below. Its my first week back on Evenings with Andrew Daddo on ABC 702 Sydney in the last two weeks. We also talk Twitter and The Boat that Rocked.

Also, just a slight clarification- my star ratings are out of Five not Ten. I think missed that. Have your say below, too:) Star Trek is out in May.

I liked your reviews. The women thing about Boat that Rocked...I think it was a failed attempt to make it a boy's club movie.

Star Trek - I'm so excited.

wasn't there meant to be an embargo on Star Trek reviews until later? or wait was that X-men?

There was an embargo PunditFight but it was lifted after the film screened in the US and a number of sites there ran reviews. Something I rant about in my review of the Star Trek world premiere.

Apparently the host didn't like Almost Famous, I can only assume he's knows nothing about film ;-)

Weird, sounded like a 4 or 5 star review for Star Trek and you give it 3.75? What gives?

I was at the Opera House Prem as well and I can't think of a recent film that harks back to the Spielberg glory days, i.e. Raiders etc, like this film, that offers such charisma and pure popcorn entertainment. I rarely hear "awesome" after a film, yet the whole place was echoing the same feelings.

Please don't tell me you gave The Dark Knight 4 or 5 review and not Star Trek, as this film left it for dead in terms of actually having a great time at the movies again.

I ain't even a star trek fan but this type of film is pretty rare today.
